Removal
Disconnect a delivery hose from the pump of the hydraulic booster.
Disconnect an inlet hose from a connecting flange on the pump of the hydraulic booster and merge working liquid in suitable capacity.
Weaken bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster before removal of a belt of the drive of the pump.

Weaken a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt of the drive of the pump (fig. 5.77).

Take off a pump drive belt from a pulley of the pump of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.78).
Completely turn off bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster and a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt of the drive of the pump.
Remove the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering assembled.

NOTE
Be careful at removal of the pump, do not spill the liquid which is in it (fig. 5.79).

Remove an arm of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering.

Dismantling
Remove a connecting flange of an inlet hose and ring laying from the pump of the hydraulic booster.

Weaken four bolts of fastening and uncover the pump of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.80).
Remove a cam washer.
Remove a rotor and blades.
Remove a side plate.

Remove internal and external ring laying (fig. 5.81).

Remove a spring of a side plate (fig. 5.82).

NOTE
At assembly of the pump establish new laying of a cover of the pump and new ring laying.

Clamp a pump drive pulley in a vice, turn off a nut of fastening and remove a spring washer (fig. 5.83).
Remove a pulley from a pump drive shaft.

Remove a lock ring by means of a stripper of lock rings, then remove the expansion plug boot (fig. 5.84).

Easy blows of the plastic hammer from a rotor beat out a shaft of the drive of the pump (fig. 5.85).

By means of the screw-driver take an epiploon from a pump housing of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.86).

NOTE
At assembly of the pump always establish a new epiploon.

Remove the union from a pump housing of the hydraulic booster, then take the valve of regulation of a consumption of liquid and a spring of the valve (fig. 5.87).
Remove ring laying from the union.

ATTENTION
Do not disassemble the valve of regulation of a consumption of liquid.

Check
Check length of a spring of the valve of regulation of a consumption of liquid in a free state (without loading).
Valve spring length in a free state: 36,5 mm.
Check the valve of regulation of a consumption of liquid on lack of deformation (bend).
Check a pump drive shaft for lack of wear or damages.
Check a pump drive belt for lack of wear or deterioration in a state.
Check lack of "step" wear of blades and grooves of a rotor.
Check lack of "step" wear for the surfaces of contact of blades and a cam washer.
Check absence of damage on blades.
Check lack of paths of wear on a side plate or the contacting sites between shaft of the drive and a cover of the pump.

Assembly

Establish a valve spring, the valve of regulation of a consumption of liquid and the union in a pump housing of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.88).

By means of the special tool establish a new epiploon in a pump housing of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.89).

Insert a pump drive shaft assembled into a pump housing of the hydraulic booster, then install the expansion plug boot and a lock ring (fig. 5.90).

Establish a pulley of the pump of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.91).
Establish a spring and internal ring laying.

Insert external ring laying into a side plate, then establish a side plate in a pump housing of the hydraulic booster (fig. 5.92).

Establish lock pins in pump housing openings, then establish a cam washer, paying special attention to the right direction of installation (fig. 5.93).
Establish a rotor.

Install blades so that their rounded end faces were outside (from a cam washer) (fig. 5.94).

Establish laying and a cover of the pump assembled (fig. 5.95).
Establish ring laying and a connecting flange of an inlet hose.

Installation

After installation of an arm and the pump put on a belt of the drive a pump pulley and adjust its tension. Tighten a bolt of adjustment of a tension the regulated moment (fig. 5.96).
Inhaling moment: 35–50 N · m.
Connect an inlet hose.
Delay fastening of a delivery hose on the pump of the hydraulic booster.

NOTE
At installation of a delivery hose be convinced that it is not overwound and there is no possibility of its contact with other details of the car.

Fill a hydraulic system of the amplifier of steering with the recommended working PSF-3 liquid.
Remove air from a hydraulic system of the amplifier of steering.
Check pressure of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering.
