Dismantling

ATTENTION
Do not disassemble the external CV JOINT "Birfilda BJ".
Special jellied lubricant is applied to lubricant of CV JOINTS of a shaft of the drive of a wheel. Do not mix old and new lubricant, and also different types of jellied lubricants.
After removal replace collars of protective covers of the CV JOINT new.

Remove collars of fastening of a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT and remove a protective cover from an external holder of the internal CV JOINT (fig. 3.121).

ATTENTION
Be careful, do not damage a protective cover at removal.

By means of the flat screw-driver take a big lock ring from an external holder of the CV JOINT (fig. 3.122).
Extend a wheel drive shaft from an external holder of the CV JOINT.

Remove a small lock ring and take an internal holder of the CV JOINT assembled with a separator and balls (fig. 3.123).
Clear an internal holder of the CV JOINT assembled with a separator and balls, without sorting knot.
Remove collars of a protective cover of the external CV JOINT and a protective cover from the case of the external CV JOINT.

ATTENTION
If repeated installation of a protective cover of the CV JOINT is supposed, then wrap up (plastic) insulating tape a shlitsevy part of a shaft not to damage a cover (fig. 3.124).

Check
Check an external holder of the internal CV JOINT, an internal holder, a separator and balls for absence of damage or rusts.
Check a shlitsevy part of a shaft of the drive of a wheel for lack of traces of the increased wear.
Be convinced of lack of water, foreign particles, dirt or rusts in a protective cover of the external CV JOINT.

ATTENTION
If repeated installation of the external CV JOINT assembled is supposed, then do not delete from it lubricant. Check lack of foreign particles in CV JOINT lubricant. If necessary completely clear the external CV JOINT assembled of pollution and lubricant, then apply new jellied lubricant (fig. 3.125) in the CV JOINT.

Assembly
Wrap up (plastic) insulating tape a shlitsevy part of a shaft of the drive of a wheel from the internal CV JOINT not to damage a cover.
Apply lubricant on a shaft of the drive of a wheel and establish protective covers of CV JOINTS.

The recommended lubricant
External CV JOINT (BJ): CENTOPLEX 278M/136K.
Internal CV JOINT (DOJ): AMBLYGON THAT 10/2A.

For installation of a dynamic damper, holding the external CV JOINT and a shaft of the drive of a wheel so that they were on a straight line, fix a dynamic damper by a collar in the places specified in the figure 3.126.

Apply special jellied lubricant on an internal holder and a separator of the CV JOINT. Establish a separator so that the distance between it and an internal holder corresponded specified in the figure 3.127.

NOTE
Use special lubricant from a remkomplekt.

Apply special jellied lubricant on a separator of the internal CV JOINT and establish balls in a separator.

Arrange the party (A) of the internal CV JOINT, as shown in the figure 3.128.
Establish an internal holder of the CV JOINT on a shaft of the drive of a wheel and record a lock ring.
Apply special jellied lubricant in an external holder of the internal CV JOINT, establish it on a shaft of the drive of a wheel and record a lock ring.
Fill with special jellied lubricant a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT and establish it into place.
Fix a protective cover of the internal CV JOINT by collars.
Add special jellied lubricant to the case of the external CV JOINT in quantity which corresponds to amount of the lubricant removed when checking.
Establish a protective cover of the external CV JOINT.
Fix a protective cover of the external CV JOINT by collars.

Establish collars of protective covers of external CV JOINTS at the corresponding distance from each other (to provide the necessary volume of air in a cover) and then reliably tighten collars (fig. 3.129).
