3.3.12. Adjustment of the lowered pressure

Adjustment without use of a tester
Remove details up to an oil filter as it should be, similar provided in the procedure of adjustment of pressure in the main highway. Do not remove the block of the operating valves.
Turn the adjusting screw on the lower part of the block of managing directors of valves and adjust the lowered pressure so that it corresponded to nominal rate. At turn of the adjusting screw clockwise the lowered pressure decreases, at turn of the adjusting screw counterclockwise – increases.

NOTE
At adjustment the lowered pressure has to reach average value (425 kPa) from the range of nominal rates.
Nominal rate: 420 ± 20 kPa.

Change of pressure of oil at each turn of the adjusting screw: 22 kPa.
Establish an oil filter and the oil pallet as it should be, similar provided in the procedure of adjustment of pressure in the main highway.
Execute check of pressure in a hydraulic system of management of the automatic transmission. If necessary repeat adjustment of pressure.

Adjustment with use of a tester
By means of the ACTUATOR TEST mode (check of actuation mechanisms) of a tester forcibly establish 50% coefficient of filling of a cycle (50% of duty) of the electromagnetic valve of adjustment of pressure (PCSV) and measure pressure given to a brake of compulsory decrease in transfer in this timepoint.
If pressure given to a brake of compulsory decrease in transfer (kickdown brake pressure) does not correspond to the range of nominal rates, adjust pressure by means of the adjusting screw.
Nominal rate:
320 ±30 kPa.
Change of pressure of oil at each turn of the adjusting screw: 30 kPa.
Check that after completion of this adjustment value of the lowered pressure (reducing presure) corresponds to the range of 370-490 kPa.

ATTENTION
Adjustment should be made at a temperature of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission 70–80 °C. If adjustment is made at too high temperature of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission, then pressure in the main highway will fall when the engine works at the idling mode, and as a result it will be impossible to execute correct adjustment.

Replacement of epiploons of shaft of the drive of wheels
Disconnect a shaft of the drive of a wheel from the transmission.

By means of the flat screw-driver take an epiploon (fig. 3.81).

By means of the special tool (a mandrel 09431-21200) install by easy blows a new epiploon in the transmission (fig. 3.82).
Apply oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) on a working edge of an epiploon.

Replacement of a cable of the drive of a speedometer

Correctly establish an adapter in a combination of devices and tie to it a new cable of the drive of a speedometer (fig. 3.83).
Install the rubber plug so that the cable and the acting part of the plug were horizontal.

ATTENTION
The cable of the drive of a speedometer should be laid so that the radius of a bend of a cable corresponded to 150 mm or more.

From the transmission it is necessary to insert a speedometer drive cable tip into the transmission and it is reliable to tighten a nut of fastening (fig. 3.84).

ATTENTION
If the cable of the drive of a speedometer is connected incorrectly or unreliably, then indications of a speedometer will be incorrect and there will be an abnormal noise. Be convinced of correctness of connection of a cable of the drive of a speedometer.
