3.3.10. Check of the hydrotransformer on completely slowed down car (Stall test)

The purpose of this check is measurement of the maximum frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine at completely slowed down output shaft of the automatic transmission on ranges of "D" and "R". By results of check it is possible to define operability of the obgonny coupling of the stator of the hydrotransformer, and also existence of pro-slipping in frictional couplings and a brake of the first transfer and transfer of a backing.

ATTENTION
During this check do not allow anybody to be in front of or behind the car.

Check the level and temperature of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission, and also temperature of cooling liquid of the engine. Oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF) has to be on mark "NOTES" in the masloizmeritelny probe. Oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) has to be heated-up up to the normal working temperature (70–80 °C). Cooling liquid of the engine also has to be heated-up up to the normal working temperature (80–90 °C).
Establish brake shoes (chocks) under back wheels of the car.
Establish a control tachometer for measurement of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine.
Completely lift the lever of the parking brake and squeeze out against the stop a brake pedal.
Start the engine.
Install the automatic transmission selector lever in situation "D", press against the stop an accelerator pedal for determination of the maximum frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine at this moment. During this test do not hold a butterfly valve completely open longer, than it is necessary for determination of the maximum frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine or more than five seconds. If this test needs to be carried out more than once, then after each check transfer the automatic transmission selector lever to situation "N" and let's work to the engine on the mines-1 mode 1000 during 2 миндля coolings of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) between checks.
Nominal rate:
frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine at completely slowed down car (Stall test): 2300–2700 rpm.
Transfer the selector lever to situation "R" and repeat check on completely slowed down car, to points which are similarly mentioned above.
When checking on the range of "D" on completely slowed down car the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine is more than nominal rate
Excess of nominal rate of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine demonstrates slipping of the back coupling or obgonny coupling of the transmission. In this case check pressure in a hydraulic system of management of the automatic transmission for definition of the reason of slipping.
When checking on the range of "R" on completely slowed down car the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine is more than nominal rate
Excess of nominal rate of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine demonstrates slipping of the forward coupling of the transmission or a brake of the first transfer and transfer of a backing. In this case check pressure in a hydraulic system of management of the automatic transmission for definition of the reason of slipping.
When checking on the range of "N" on completely slowed down car the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine is less than nominal rate
If the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine is less than nominal rate, then the insufficient (inappropriate) output engine capacity or malfunction of the hydrotransformer is the reason of it. Check lack of admissions of flashes in cylinders (the admission of ignition), an ignition advancing corner, a gap in the drive of valves, etc. If in all listed points of malfunctions it is not revealed, means the hydrotransformer is faulty.
