Check of level of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission
Conduct the car until oil (ATF) in the check point reaches the normal working temperature (70–80 °C).
Install the car on the flat horizontal platform.
Press a pedal of a brake and move the automatic transmission selector lever consistently through all provisions (detaining him in each of them for several seconds) for filling with oil (ATF) of all hydraulic system of management of the automatic transmission and the automatic transmission hydrotransformer, and then install the selector lever in situation "N".
Before extraction of the masloizmeritelny probe clear of dirt the place about it. Take out the probe and check a condition of oil in the check point (ATF).

NOTE
If oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission has a burned smell, then it is a pollution sign its small particles of wear of frictional overlays of elements of management of the check point. In this case, perhaps, capital repairs of the transmission will be required.

Normal level of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) has to be in the range of "NOTES" of the masloizmeritelny probe. If level below of provided, add oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) to normal level.
Oil for automatic transmissions (ATF): GENUINE HYUNDAI ATF SP-II M.

NOTE
If the level of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission is lower normal, then the oil pump will take oil together with air that will lead to formation of bubbles and foaming of oil in a hydraulic system. It will reduce working pressure in a hydraulic system of management that in turn will lead to delay at gear shifting (late inclusion of transfers) and pro-slipping of frictional couplings or brakes. If the level of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission is more normal, then due to rotation of gear wheels of planetary mechanisms there will be a plentiful foaming of oil (ATF) that as a result will lead to the same consequences, as well as in case of the low level of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission. In both cases air bubbles are the reason of an overheat, oxidation of oil (ATF) and adjournment of a varnish which puts out of action valves, couplings and executive mechanisms. Foaming also leads to emission of oil (ATF) through сапун an automatic transmission case that mistakenly take for leaks.

Densely insert the masloizmeritelny probe into a regular opening.
In case of capital repairs of the automatic transmission or operation of the car in severe road conditions replacement of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) and an oil filter is obligatory. The procedure of replacement of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) is described below. At the same time it is necessary to remember that in automatic transmissions only special oil filters are used.

Replacement of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF)
You can use installation for bystry replacement of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission (ATF fluid charger). If there is no such installation, replace oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission as it is described below.
Discharge of oil (ATF) from an automatic transmission hydraulic system:
– disconnect a hose which connects the transmission to the oil cooler located in a radiator of cooling of the engine;
– start the engine and let's oil (ATF) flow down through a hose.
Operation performance conditions:
– the engine idles;
– the lever of the automatic transmission selector is in situation "N".

ATTENTION
In one minute after start the engine has to be killed. If all oil (ATF) flowed out before this moment, then the engine should be killed immediately.

Turn off a drain stopper on the lower part of a case of the automatic transmission and merge oil (ATF) from the oil pallet automatic transmission.
Establish a drain stopper with laying into place and tighten a stopper the moment of 32 N · m.
Fill in new oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) through a maslozalivny tube of the automatic transmission.

ATTENTION
If the nominal volume of oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) is not included into the transmission, stop filling.

NOTE
Check existence of pollution in the merged oil (ATF). If in the automatic transmission oils (ATF) more nominal volume is filled in, again let's flow down to oil from the transmission.

Replace the external automatic transmission oil filter. At considerable pollution of oil (ATF) check a condition of the internal automatic transmission oil filter.
Fill in new oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) through a maslozalivny tube of the automatic transmission.
Connect a hose of the automatic transmission oil cooler and reliably install into place the masloizmeritelny probe. Before installation of the automatic transmission masloizmeritelny probe clear of dirt the place about it.
Start the engine and let's work to it idling within 1–2 min.
Move the automatic transmission selector lever consistently through all positions and then establish it in situation "N".
Make sure that oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF) is in the range of "COLD" ("the cold automatic transmission") of the masloizmeritelny probe. If level provided below, then add necessary amount of oil for the automatic transmission (ATF).
Pass on the car some distance that temperature of oil (ATF) reached normal working value (70–80 °C) then again check oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF) which has to be in the range of "NOTES" ("the heated-up automatic transmission").

Densely install the masloizmeritelny probe in a maslozalivny tube of the automatic transmission (fig. 3.46).

Replacement of the automatic transmission oil filter
Remove the air filter assembled, then by means of the special tool (a chain key of an oil filter, etc.) remove the automatic transmission oil filter.
After removal of the filter by means of fabric mittens or rags clear the surface of the transmission of oil bryzg for the automatic transmission (ATF), dirt, etc.
Clear the surface of fastening of the automatic transmission oil filter.

Grease with a small amount of pure oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) the surface of ring laying of the automatic transmission oil filter (fig. 3.47).
Establish the automatic transmission oil filter into place.
Inhaling moment: 11–13 N · m.
Check oil level for the automatic transmission (ATF) in the transmission.
