3.1.4. Removal and installation of a pedal of coupling

Remove the forelock and a washer (fig. 3.11).

Turn off bolts of fastening of a pedal (fig. 3.12).

Check of technical condition
Check an axis and the plug of a pedal for wear existence.
Check a coupling pedal for existence of a bend and distortion.
Check a returnable spring for existence of damage or easing.
Check the platform of a pedal for existence of damage or wear.

Check pedal height over a floor (from the external surface of the platform of a pedal to a floor) (fig. 3.13).
Nominal size "A": 182,7 mm.

If pedal height over a floor does not meet standard, adjust it, as shown in the figure 3.14.
Bolt adjust the pedal height then tighten a lock-nut.

ATTENTION
After adjustment tighten a bolt so that it concerned a pedal emphasis then tighten a lock-nut.

Rotation of a pusher adjust its length on the new height of a pedal then fix a pusher by a nut.

ATTENTION
At adjustment of height of a pedal you watch that the pusher was not displaced towards the main cylinder.

Upon termination of adjustment be convinced that the free wheeling of a pedal of coupling (measured from the surface of the platform of a pedal) is in norm limits.
Nominal rate "In": 6–13 mm.

If the free wheeling of a pedal of coupling does not meet standard, then availability of air in a hydraulic actuator or malfunction of the main cylinder are the possible reasons. Pump over a hydraulic actuator and check the main cylinder or coupling (fig. 3.15).
