3.1.3. Removal and installation of the main cylinder of a hydraulic actuator of coupling

Removal

Merge working liquid via the union for pumping (fig. 3.6).
Turn off a nut of fastening of the main cylinder.
Disconnect pipelines.

Remove a clip of fastening of the pipeline to the transmission (fig. 3.7).

Check of technical condition
Check a hose and the pipeline for existence of a rust, sinks and zadir.

Installation
Attach the pipeline to the working cylinder.

Attach a hose and fix it by a clip (fig. 3.8).
Install the main cylinder.
Attach a pusher to a coupling pedal.
Pump over a coupling hydraulic actuator.
Remove a lock ring of the piston.
Take out a pusher assembled with the piston.

NOTE
At the same time you watch to damaging the case and the piston of the cylinder.

Check after installation
Check a cylinder mirror for existence of a rust, sinks and zadir.
Check a cylinder cuff for existence of wear or a distortion.
Check the piston for existence of a rust, sinks go zadir.
Check purity of the pipeline.

Check by means of a nutromer the internal diameter of the cylinder and by means of a micrometer – the outer diameter of the piston (fig. 3.9).
If the gap between the piston and the cylinder exceeds maximum permissible size, replace the main cylinder or the piston.
Maximum permissible gap between the piston and the cylinder: 0,15 mm.

Assembly
Apply the working DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid on a mirror of the cylinder and the external surface of the piston.
Insert the piston into the cylinder.
Establish a lock ring of the piston.

Establish a pusher (see details of the main cylinder) (fig. 3.10).
Attach a hose to the cylinder case.
